Head Of Rarampadende Village In Sigi Becomes Suspect Of Village Fund Corruption Temporarily Dismissed

JAKARTA - The Sigi Regency Government (Pemkab) has imposed a temporary suspension of the Village Head (Kades) of Rarampadende, West Dolo District with the initials AS involved in the Village Fund (DD) corruption cases in 2023 and 2024.

Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Service (PMD) of Sigi Regency, Moh Ambar Mahmud, said that his party had received information from law enforcement officials, namely the Sigi District Attorney (Kejari) that the Head of Rarampadende Village had been named a suspect.

"So from the status of the Head of the Rarampadende Village to become a suspect, we have already processed the temporary suspension," said Ambar when met by media crews in Bora Village, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng), Tuesday, by Antara.

He revealed that the temporary suspension will take effect on October 3, 2025.

"The temporary dismissal letter has been signed by the Sigi Regent and in the Decree appoints the Acting Head of the Rarampadende Village Head as the village secretary to carry out duties in the area," he said.

He said the local government did not yet know the total loss resulting from the misuse of the Village Fund, because it was still in the process of being investigated by law enforcement officials.

"Untuk total kerugian hasil dugaan korupsi itu kami tidak tahu, karena tugas kami hanya memproses terkait pemberhentian sementara, sedangkan hasil-hasil pemeriksaan itu sepenuh menjadi kewenangan dari Kejaksaan Negeri Sigi," sebutnya.

According to him, the local government is still waiting for the court's decision to follow up, such as the definitive dismissal or permanent dismissal of the Rarampadende Village Head.

"If later the court's decision is found guilty, then the dismissal will be continued definitively or permanently, while if it is not proven that the person concerned is guilty, the local government is tasked with returning his position as Head of Rarampadende Village," he said.

It is known that the Sigi Kejari has named the Head of the Rarampadende AS as a suspect in connection with the alleged corruption in the misuse of the 2023 and 2024 Village Funds.

The suspect is currently being held at the Palu Class II A Detention Center for 20 days starting on October 1, 2025.
