3 Drug Lords Arrested While Carrying 12 Kg Of Methamphetamine In A Truck On The Japek Toll Road
Three drug dealers with the initials A (30), K (39), and D (38) were arrested by members of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit while smuggling 12 kilograms of methamphetamine on the Jakarta - Cikampek (Japek) toll road.
The three perpetrators smuggled 12 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine into 2 blue jerry cans and put it in a truck carrying oranges. The effort was made to avoid being monitored by officers.
However, the effort did not go smoothly. The reason is, the police have carried out surveillance and mapped the movements of the dealers until an arrest was made.
"They tried to trick the officers with the blue jerry can mode inserted between oranges, from Aceh to Java. But we have mapped their movement and succeeded in preventing the circulation of this item," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
From the results of the investigator's examination, the three dealers are part of the cross-provincial methamphetamine distribution network, ranging from Aceh, Jakarta, to Central Java.
The police chief said the confiscated evidence included 12 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, one unit of a truck carrying orange fruit, and two blue jerry cans.

The three narcotics dealers were charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of life imprisonment to the death penalty.
This case is still being developed to dismantle the network behind the circulation of the methamphetamine.
"We believe that there are main actors who control this circulation. We will continue to hunt down and dismantle the entire network so that Jakarta is free from drugs," he said.
