Allow DKI To Build Buildings On The Ministry Of Finance's Land, Purbaya: The Important Thing Is That I Don't Spend Money
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadiveh has allowed the plan of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to build a tall building on land owned by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
Purbaya revealed that the Ministry of Finance will definitely allow local governments to use unused assets as long as they do not burden the central government.
This was revealed after a meeting with Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall. Later, the building will be used as the head office of Bank Jakarta.
"I am very happy with that. Why? Because it will encourage economic growth in Jakarta and nationally as a whole, and most importantly what? I didn't go out of money.
"The money is from Bank DKI," said Purbaya, Tuesday, October 7.
The plan is for the Bank Jakarta building to be built in Lot 1 SCBD, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, with construction work for 15 months.
Purbaya hopes that the Bank Jakarta building project will open wider job opportunities during the construction process so that it can be used in the future.
"Bank DKI has quite a lot of money. Instead of not using it, it is better to use it to increase economic development activities. Mainly later demand will increase, create labor, and others," said Purbaya.
Furthermore, Purbaya admitted that he would lend land in the elite office area belonging to the Ministry of Finance for 50 years. With a note, the Ministry of Finance received 30 percent utilization.
"Later, the central government can fall 30 percent of the building. The condition is, I said to the Governor, the building is good, don't be shy. Let me go in there and calm down," said Purbaya.
Responding to this, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung guaranteed that the design of the building was quite good beyond Purbaya's expectations.
