Robin Williams' Son Annoyed Fans Send His Father's AI Video: Please Stop

JAKARTA - The son of the late actor Robin Williams, Zelda Williams, spoke about the number of artificial intelligence (AI) videos using his father's face. The director Lisa totaled asking the public to stop sending similar edited videos.

"Please, stop sending me my father's AI video. Stop believing that I want to see it or I will understand, I don't and don't want to," wrote Zelda Williams via her Instagram Story.

If you guys want to deceive me, I've seen worse. I'll stop and get through it but please, if you have awareness, please stop doing this to him and me, for everyone, please stop. It's stupid, it's a waste of time and energy and believe, this is not something he wants," he said.

According to him, the people who make AI videos like that are not people who respect art and choose instant processes.

"You guys don't make art, you make it disgusting, like you go through excessive processes, outside of art and music and encourage it to someone else's throat and hope they will give you appreciation and like it." continued Zelda.

"And for everything, please stop saying this is the future. AI is just recycling the past for consumption again. You take Human Centipede content and from the end of the line, while everyone is laughing, continuing to consume it," said Zelda.

This is not the first time that Zelda has criticized AI's edits about Robin Williams. In 2023, he responded to a statement by the SAG-AFTRA organization condemning the use of AI.

I've seen years of how people train models to make actors who can't give permission, like dad. Not theoretical but this is really happening. I've heard AI use his voice to say whatever people want to listen to and I think it's annoying, "Zelda said.

"Actors who are still alive deserve the opportunity to make characters with voices, fill animated voices, to give humanitarian efforts and time for their performances," he said.
