DKI Funds Cut Rp15 T, Doubles Purbaya: Looks Like They Can Still Be Cut Again!
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadives appreciated the response of DKI Governor Pramono Anung and his staff who received and did not protest when transfer funds from the central government were cut to Rp15 trillion.
In fact, Purbaya joked that cutting transfer funds such as profit-sharing funds (DBH) could be even greater seeing Pramono's relieved attitude.
This was conveyed by Purbaya after meeting with Pramono to discuss the steps taken by the DKI Provincial Government in dealing with the cut in transfer funds in the APBD next year.
"I want to thank the Governor, who did not protest a lot when the profit-sharing funds I cut almost IDR 20 trillion. I think it can still be cut again," said Purbaya at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, October 7.
Purbaya then explained the reason the central government decided to cut the transfer funds to Jakarta with the most nominal compared to other regions.
This cut transfer budget to Jakarta is many times larger than other regions, such as West Java which is only IDR 2.45 trillion and East Java is IDR 2.81 trillion.
"If you look at the proportionality, it's getting bigger, it's definitely getting bigger and bigger. That's roughly the case, it's simple. It's kind of like what time it's averaged, and it's also seen the regional needs," explained Purbaya.
"We see that Jakarta can still withstand such a large cut and the percentage method is no bigger than the others," he added.
The DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government have actually planned the Jakarta APBD next year with a nominal jumbo amount of IDR 95.35 trillion.

From this plan, it is projected that transfer receipts in the form of profit-sharing funds (DBH), general allocation funds (DAU), and special allocation funds (DAK) from the central government in 2026 will reach Rp26 trillion.
However, recently the Ministry of Finance decided to reduce the transfer funds by Rp15 trillion to only Rp11 trillion. Thus, next year's projected DKI APBD will have to be reduced to Rp79.06 trillion.
