2 PPP Islah Camp: Mardiono Sah Jadi Ketum, Agus Suparmanto Waketum

JAKARTA - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas emphasized that reconciliation of the two United Development Party (PPP) was purely an initiative from within the party, and without President Prabowo Subianto's contribution.

"There is no (presidential candidate). This is an initiative from all of my friends within the PPP," said Supratman at the Ministry of Law's office, Jakarta, Monday, October 6.

Supratman explained that President Prabowo always said political parties must solve their own problems if they have problems. The government is grateful that PPP was able to solve the problem.

Supratman added that in the latest management decree, a number of names from the two camps were included in the management structure of the PPP DPP. Among them, Taj Yasin Maimoen or Gus Yasin, who was previously the secretary general of PPP for Agus Suparmanto's camp.

"Hopefully, with the new decree leaving, there will be a cool return to the PPP extended family," he said.

Even though it has approved the latest PPP management decree, Supratman is still waiting for complete the party management structure.

He said the government handed over the decision to PPP while waiting for the party's new board bearing the Kaaba to hold a national work meeting or Mukernas.

"We will fully submit the time, but I ask that it can be done as soon as possible," he added.
