Xiaomi 17 Pro Series Gets HyperOS 3.0.17.0 Update: Add Notification On Back Screen And System Improvement
JAKARTA - Xiaomi has officially released the latest system update HyperOS 3.0.17.0 for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, which brings a number of new features as well as performance and security improvements. This update with build number 3.0.17.0.WPBCNXM measures around 712MB and is currently available to users in China.
One of the interesting features of this update is a dynamic notification on the back screen, which now supports train travel reminders of 12306 booking services and the most popular train travel information in China. With this feature, users can see the schedule and status of direct travel from the secondary screen on the back of the phone.
In addition, Xiaomi also improves gesture recognition on panda pet animations in dim light conditions and fixes bugs that cause rear screens to blink in certain situations.

In terms of the system, this update brings improved device stability, power efficiency, and gaming performance in several scenarios. Xiaomi is also fixing automatic deleted double app problems and bugs that trigger hands-free mode by accident when receiving calls in third-party live broadcast apps. In addition, this update also includes an Android security patch October 2025 to improve system protection.
Xiaomi announced that the Xiaomi 17 series has penetrated sales of one million units in just two days since its launch, with the 17 Pro Max model accounting for more than half of the total sales. Both models, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, were sold over 6,000 yuan (approximately IDR 13 million), signaling Xiaomi's move towards the premium segment.
Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, said the company is now increasing production to meet a surge in demand. He confirmed that sales of the 17 series exceeded the sales speed of the 15-year draw last year.
Responding to user input, Xiaomi also released a new variant of Xiaomi 17 version 1TB which went on sale on October 5, 2025 at a price of 5,299 yuan (around Rp. 12.3 million), or 200 yuan cheaper than the 1TB variant from Xiaomi 15.
Xiaomi insists that it is overcoming temporary stock constraints and seeks to expand the availability of devices in the market. This strong response to the Xiaomi 17 series shows the company's seriousness in strengthening its position in the high-end smartphone market.
