Rosok Iron Worker Steals Gold To Pay Debt Of IDR 49 Million As A Result Of Judol
JAKARTA - MF (34), the sole suspect in the gold necklace jewelry thief at the Toko Mas Tjantik Rawa Badak, weighing 25 grams with a value of Rp49 million, admitted that he had debts of tens of millions.
"So because most of the debt, (the perpetrator) was confused about how to pay the debt, in the end he was desperate to commit the theft," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Koja Police, AKP Fernando to VOI, Monday, October 6, 2025.
The money from the results of his work by selling iron is considered insufficient to cover a number of debts.
"The motive was to steal it because it was in debt," he said.
The suspect MF admitted that he had a lot of debt because he fell into the online gambling game (Judol) type slot.
"The confession of this new perpetrator carried out his action because he had already lost a lot of debt," said AKP Fernando.

In addition, the suspect admitted to working as a junk trader by buying and selling pieces of iron.
"According to his confession, he works as a iron man. An iron rod seller, sells and buys iron," he said.
Previously with the initials, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Koja Police was still investigating the suspect MF (34) who was the perpetrator of the theft of a 25 gram gold necklace worth Rp 49 million.
Based on the suspect's confession, the man from Kayu Tinggi, Cakung, admitted that he was desperate to steal because he was caught in an online gambling (Judol) type slot.
He stole 25 grams of gold necklace jewelry at the Mas Tjantik Rawa Badak Shop, Koja Baru Market, Block A, Jalan Kramat Jaya, North Tugu Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, Monday, October 6, 2025.
During the theft, the perpetrator wore a mask and gloves. The incident was caught on CCTV cameras.
