Polemic Of Jasa Raharja's Directors And Urges For Transparency In State Administrators' Wealth

JAKARTA - State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) Acting Director (Plt) of PT Jasa Raharja Dewi Aryani Suzana increased sharply in 11 years. This increase is considered necessary to be clarified transparently considering that Dewi is a leader in a state-funded state-owned company.

PT Jasa Raharja, as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) that manages public funds, has a strong commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as its operational basis. The implementation of GCG is important to ensure that the company runs transparently, accountably, and responsibly, especially because its services are closely related to the interests of the wider community, namely as the basic guarantor for traffic accident victims.

Chairman of the Deputy Anti-Corruption Caucus (KAMAKSI), Joko Priyoski emphasized the importance of public critical attitudes towards BUMN officials with sharp increases in wealth. This critical attitude is not aimed at accusations but emphasizes the need for transparent audits and public accountability, in line with Jasa Raharja's operational basis.

"We do not accuse any violations, but the increase of almost seven times in a decade clearly requires public clarification. The KPK should conduct an integrity audit, so as not to cause negative perceptions of state-owned officials," said Jojo, Joko Priyoski's nickname, in a written statement, Monday, October 6.

Joko Priyoski asked the KPK and the State-Owned Enterprises Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) to strengthen the rules by periodically auditing the wealth of state administrators.

He considered that public officials, especially in strategic SOEs such as Jasa Raharja, were obliged to explain the source of their wealth increase, including whether it came from increasing personal assets, investments, or increasing official income.

"Transparency is part of the moral responsibility of state officials. The public has the right to know whether the increase is in accordance with the official position profile and income. The KPK also needs to actively check LHKPN regularly. Don't wait for negative issues from the media related to BUMN," he said.

Based on VOI's search, Dewi Aryani Suzana was questioned by the KPK in a case of alleged gratification related to the consulting services of the Insurance and Insurance Oil and Gas Business at PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo) Persero in 2008-2012. At that time, Dewi was the Head of the Menteng Branch Jasindo Finance Unit for the 2008-2013 period.

Apart from Dewi Aryani Suzana, the anti-corruption agency also summoned two other witnesses, namely M. Hanif Wicaksono, Owner of PT Dezan Studio (Consultant of Architecture & Interior) and Is Harriyanto Sudarno alias Is Haryanto, retired PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia/former agent/broker insurance.

Joko Priyoski mengatakan dengan adanya pemeriksaan Dewi Aryani Suzana oleh KPK dan dugaan penggunaan fasilitas negara dari istri Direktur Kepatuhan dan Manajemen Risiko PT Jasa Raharja, Harwan Muldi Darmawan, penting adanya transparansi terhadap kekayaan para penyelenggara negara.

"Because transparency is not a matter of numbers, but also a matter of people's trust in the integrity of state officials," he said.
