Men At The Koja Market Tjantik Mas Shop Were Beaten By Residents Due To 25 Grams Of Gold Currency

Instead of returning home with a golden glow on his neck, he ended up with a swollen face and battered body after being caught stealing a 25 gram gold necklace at the Tjantik Mas Shop, Koja Baru Market, Block A, Kramat Jaya Street, North Tugu, Koja, North Jakarta, Monday, October 6.
Initially, MF looked calm like a real buyer. With masks and gloves neatly attached, he pretended to bid for jewelry at the store store store store storefront. When the shop atmosphere was quiet, he saw a gap and ran away with the Rp49 million necklace.
The flash was not as fast as CCTV. The surveillance camera clearly recorded his movements. It didn't take long for the shopkeepers to notice that his belongings had disappeared and immediately shouted while chasing.
The screams also became a natural alarm for security and local residents.
'Stealer! Gold thief!' shouted the shopkeeper. Spontaneously, some people chased.

Having not had time to enjoy the stolen goods, MF was quickly caught and became the target of the mob. His face was battered before the police arrived.
Luckily, the Koja Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately came to the location after receiving the report.
"At that moment, members who were on guard at the market immediately secured the perpetrators from the tantrums of the masses," said AKP Fernando, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Koja Police, to VOI, Monday, October 6.
According to him, residents were emotional when the perpetrator was arrested. The police then took the MF to the Koja Police Headquarters along with evidence in the form of a 25 gram gold necklace, gloves, and a mask that he used in action.
The victim has officially made a police report, while MF is still undergoing intensive examination by investigators.
For his actions, MF was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a penalty of five years in prison.
