Aditya Bagja Reveals The Main Reason For Leaving The Sigit In 2023

JAKARTA - The decision to withdraw Aditya Bagja Mulyana from The Sigit in 2023 had raised a big question mark among fans.

After keeping the reason meeting for a long time, Adit finally opened his voice. He mentioned the saturation of musicians' routines and strong calls to improve worship as the main trigger.

In his explanation when appearing on the KHAIRoom podcast, Adit admitted that he had long been hit by saturation with all the activities inherent in the musician profession, ranging from appearing on stage, practicing, to schedule tours out of town.

The feeling of boredom that lasted for a long time made his comfort in music slowly disappear. He even told an extreme phase, where his interest completely switched from music.

"There is one moment when I look at YouTube, it's even culinary, not music anymore, it's monthly, it means it's like being bored," said Adit, quoted Monday, October 6.

This condition got worse when The Sigit began preparing materials for the new album. He felt apathy and was not excited to undergo the project.

"Incidentally, at that time, I asked for a new album, 'nih Dit, this is the next material', you know, 'oh, there (the direction of the music), it's just impossible, it's bad, so it's just like a blunder playing music too," he continued.

In the midst of this saturation point, a strong push arises from within to focus on fixing his worship. The turning point was admitted when Adit had to fail to perform the dawn prayer due to a gig trip schedule.

"I had a wish, 'Ah, I want the prayers not to break in a day'. There was one moment when I had to leave at 2 a.m. So, it was too late at dawn, sad, really sad," he said.

Even at a moment, Adit felt the call to prayer backstage a location that is usually full of euphoria and crowds. He chose to follow his heart, ignoring the conditions around him.

"There was one moment, I really wanted to pray, with conditions, wow (chaotic), I kept asking for prayer, the children until I looked at me praying. Yes, Alhamdulillah, Allah has opened (the heart) to that much," he explained.

This intense inner struggle ultimately brought Adit to a unanimous decision. After reflecting on the turmoil he felt, he chose to leave his status as bassist of The Sigit.

"Wow, I can't continue like this. So when I last finished, it was during Ramadan," he concluded.
