Alphard Rentalan Kemnaker Untuk Operasi Immanuel Ebenezer Dikembalikan KPK
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has returned a confiscated Toyota Alphard unit related to the alleged extortion of work safety and health certification (K3).
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the car was confiscated from the house of former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer or Noel Ebenezer on August 26 after the arrest operation (OTT). However, investigators found that the car was rented by the Ministry of Manpower.
"That the car is a rental car carried out by the Ministry of Manpower which is intended for the operation of IEG's brother or NL's brother as deputy minister," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, October 6.
The facts regarding the rental of the Alphard car were obtained by investigators after summoning a number of parties, said Budi. Among them are the Secretariat General (Setjen) of the Ministry of Manpower to the private sector.
"The return of this vehicle is a professional step and progressive step for KPK investigators," said Budi.
"This means that the assets confiscated are assets that are really related to being used or the result of a criminal act of corruption. If it is in the process of being investigated then it is known that the confiscated assets are not related, then the investigator immediately returns the assets," he continued.
