Used To Use Social Media, Now MBG Toxic Service Integrated, Minister Of Health: Acceleration Of Handling Occurs
JAKARTA - Minister of Health (Menkes), Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that integrated complaint services, such as through hotline 119 or +6287777591097, were able to accelerate the handling of poisoning cases in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program.
Budi said the data he got from the hotline showed that on October 4, there was an incident of poisoning in Soe City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Jakarta.
"Both of them were not fatal. Their children have been treated," he said in Jakarta, Monday, as reported by Antara.
In the past, he said, reports were only through social media. However, now it has been integrated, and the Health Office has been involved.
"They have filled out the report. If it is on social media, we will match it immediately. So, the handling is much better," said Budi.
According to him, integrated complaints can also be used as material for the improvement of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in the future. This is because BGN does not yet have complete infrastructure in the regions, so that the contribution from the Health Office can help BGN.
"BGN will go down to conduct an audit together with the Health Office. To improve governance and implementation procedures in the nutritional fulfillment service unit (SPPG) that causes poisoning," he said.

Regarding the SPPG, he continued, as of Monday, 130 already have a Sanitation Higiene Certificate (SLHS).
The government now requires SLHS, along with two other certificates, namely Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certificates and halal certificates to prevent poisoning in MBG from happening again.
"Well, the acceleration has started to happen. The Head of the Health Service has also started to move. Because we have also met with the Ministry of Home Affairs, with the Regional Head. Hopefully, communication can be accelerated between BGN, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Education," he said.
On Friday 26 September, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reported 70 cases of poisoning from January to September 2025, and of the dozens of cases 5,914 MBG recipients were affected.
The government has also set a number of steps to follow up on extraordinary incidents (KLB), such as the determination of three certifications, routine reporting of poisoning cases, and making Presidential rules to improve MBG governance.
