1,152 Soldiers To Intel Israel Died Since October 2023
JAKARTA - More than 1,150 Israeli soldiers killed the latest conflict in the Gaza Strip, Palestine broke out in October 2023, with the majority of those killed under the age of 21.
In an announcement Monday Israel's Ministry of Defense said 1,152 Israeli officials had been killed since October 7, 2023, quoted from The Times of Israel October 6.
This figure includes soldiers, police officers, Shin Bet agents to civil security officers. The death occurred while on duty, accident, illness to suicide.
The ministry further revealed that most of them died in fighting in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and the West Bank.
In terms of age, about 42 percent of those who died were under the age of 21, most of whom were youths who were serving in the military, while 141 people over the age range of 40, highlighted the wide range of age of those who died.
More than 200 victims were buried at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem, and in total, funerals have been carried out in 264 funerals and military lands throughout Israel, with 24 extended lands and newly established military funerals. In addition, eight soldiers died were transferred abroad for burial, accompanied by Ministry of Defense staff.
The latest conflict in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023 when a Palestinian militant group led by Hamas attacked Israel's southern region, killing 1,200 people and another 251 being held hostage, according to Israeli calculations.

Israel responded by carrying out airstrikes, blockades, and land operations in the Gaza Strip. The two sides agreed on a ceasefire that took effect from January 19 to March 18.
Meanwhile, Gaza's health authorities confirmed on Sunday that the death toll from Palestine had reached 67,139 people, while the injured reached 169,583 people, quoted from WAFA.
