The Family Of The Late Arya Daru Gives A Number Of Data To The Polda Metro Jaya

The family of the late Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP) visited Polda Metro Jaya to fulfill the invitation and provide a number of the latest data regarding the death of the young diplomat.

"Our arrival here, first, is to submit a letter. There are several things that we ask for, for example regarding data, and we are welcomed by the Resmob team and from public relations as well," said Arya Daru's family attorney team, Dwi Librianto, when met in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, October 6.

Dwi explained that his party had discussed with the Polda Metro Jaya to jointly discuss the next steps related to the case.

"We discussed, in the future, what we can discuss together because we just got the power of August 22, so we can try to open this case so that it can be clearer," said Dwi.

Together with Polda Metro Jaya, he added that his party would determine the time to explain the case again so that one understanding could be achieved.

"We will determine the time, for us to both open, from the Resmob side we will re-explain this case so that we have one understanding. This case has not been closed, it is still being investigated by Polda Metro Jaya investigators," said Dwi.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Information Sub-Division of the Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak explained that his party would explain from the beginning the handling of the investigation of the case to date.

"To prove that the investigation process is still ongoing or investigators are still investigating the ADP case," said Reonald.

Previously, Commission XIII of the DPR urged that the death of a young diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arya Daru Pangayunan, be reopened with an exhumation option or a re-autopsy to determine the cause of death.

"This meeting concluded that this case should be reopened. There are irregularities between the police report and the facts obtained, including a statement from the Ministry of Human Rights which confirms that the case should not be closed," said Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII DPR Andreas Hugo Pareira in the Parliament area, Jakarta, on September 30, 2025.

According to him, the exhumation push was put forward for the family to obtain clarity, and all parties did not ask questions regarding the cause of death of the victim.
