The Form Of A More Affordable Tesla Model Y Revealed, When To Launch?

JAKARTA - Time and again, Tesla promised to present electric cars at affordable prices, but they canceled them many times.

Now that rumors are circulating, Tesla is reportedly preparing a more affordable Model Y with some setbacks or features removed, even the design has changed slightly.

Based on a report from ArenaEV, quoted Monday, October 6, recently a Tesla car caught on camera was being tested which was obtained from the Reddit page.

The car in the photo looks like a Model Y with little difference. The front facility removes the LED blades, but the front light itself is quite narrow and similar to the one in the Juniper Model Y.

The back also does not have an LED bar and instead combines static black blades. The wheel design has also been changed, possibly to achieve better aerodynamics.

As previously reported by VOI, the car was coded E41, this new variant cut a number of surprising features. The list of components removed or simplified is very wide. On the outside, E41 is reported to be missing two Tesla features, namely the roof of a panoramic glass and an electric folding rearview mirror. Not only that, the front fascia is also rumored to be changing and the 18-inch wheels are simplified.

The change extends to the vehicle's mechanical system, with the inserted suspension system. This modification will create a visually different and mechanically different Model Y compared to the currently sold version.

In the cabin, it also doesn't escape changes where it points to simplified fiberglass headers and basic cabin lighting limited to only the foot booths. Passengers behind will lose sight of the second row and may even have no control over their air ventilation, as some features are removed.

Drivers are also inevitable, with seat controls simplified into one axis of movement. In fact, the vehicle code shows the absence of a Ban Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a feature that has become standard in all industries and is mandated in many regions.
