Residents Of Pegangsaan Dua, North Jakarta Complaints About The Official Parking Area For Handling Roads

JAKARTA - Official parking for a number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles along Jalan Boulevard Timur, RW 12 Pegangsaan Dua Village, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta is considered chaotic.

A number of local residents complained about this because the area looks shabby with the presence of vehicle parking utilizing public facilities (Fasum) on the shoulder of Jalan Boulevard Raya.

"I have repeatedly asked the manager to be disciplined but there is no follow-up," said Sudirman, Head of RW 12 Pegangsaan Dua Village, Kelapa Gading when confirmed, Monday, October 6, 2025.

Ironically, parking two- and four-wheeled vehicles along Jalan Boulevard Timur, RW 12 Pegangsaan Dua Village, Kelapa Gading is officially parked under the auspices of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

However, the parking system applied in the area annexed the shoulder of the road and created an unfavorable view.

"It's a parking lot, a parking lot, indeed, in front of the shophouse. The arrangement of shophouse parking along the East Boulevard in the RW 12 area looks shabby," he said.

The parking lot in the area also has a meter parking machine that is sometimes used actively, but is often unused.

"(It's official) parking, from the Dishub there is. So far there are managers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't (parking machines)," he said.

Sudirman confirmed that the official parking location used was the Fasum land.

"Fasum is a parking lot in front of the shophouse, across from Al-Azhar. Use a neat fence again. Not illegal parking. (there is) Management is parking, the company doesn't know what it's called. It's been a long time," he said.

Sudirman hopes that there will be arrangements for parking lots in his area by the North Jakarta City Government and the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency so that the area around his house does not look shabby.

Previously, it was reported that the North Jakarta Satpol PP carried out control on Jalan Pegangsaan, Pegangsaan Dua Village, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta, Thursday, October 2, 2025.

"There are 8 semi-permanent stalls under control, 4 dim stalls (Warem) along with alcohol have also been brought under control," said North Jakarta Satpol PP Head Muhammadong when confirmed.

In addition, 16 huts for street vendors (PKL) were also brought under control by Satpol PP officers.
