Pelindo Wins Award Thanks To Sustainable Social Program

JAKARTA PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo reiterated its commitment to social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) after winning an award at the Impact Leaders Awards 2025.

The award was given to a company that was considered successful in encouraging positive changes through sustainable leadership.

The award was handed over directly by the CEO of PT Investortrust Indonesia Sejahtera, Primus Dorimulu, and received by Achlakul Karim, Planning and Program Management Officer of PT Pelindo.

The assessment was carried out through a rigorous selection process by an independent jury consisting of Prof. Roy Sembel, Professor of the IPMI Institute as well as Chairman of the Jury, and Lili Wijaya, a CSR practitioner who is known to consistently encourage the implementation of sustainable business-based social responsibility.

In the judging process, Pelindo is considered superior in three main aspects: the effectiveness of the program, the sustainability of initiatives, and the resulting social and environmental impacts.

Pelindo's Corporate Secretariat Group Head, Ali Sodikin, explained that the entire Pelindo TJSL program is designed to provide long-term benefits to the community.

"As port management SOEs, we not only run a business, but also ensure that the company's presence provides benefits to the people around the port as well as supports the national development agenda," said Ali.

Ali added that the implementation of the Pelindo TJSL program was also aligned with the goals of sustainable development goals (SDGs).

In the field of education, we focus on improving access and quality of learning in coastal areas. For the economy, we encourage community independence through training and development of micro and small businesses. As for the environment, we are rehabilitating coastal areas and reducing carbon footprint," he said.

Melalui berbagai inisiatif tersebut, Pelindo berupaya menjaga keseimbangan antara kinerja bisnis dan kontribusi sosial, sejalan dengan visi perusahaan untuk menjadi pelabuhan kelas dunia yang berkelanjutan.

Through these various initiatives, Pelindo seeks to maintain a balance between business performance and social contributions, in line with the company's vision to become a sustainable world-class port.
