Tech3 Announces Maverick Vinales Withdraws From MotoGP Mandalika 2025
JAKARTA - Tech 3 manufacturers announced that their driver, Maverick Vinales, withdrew from the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP on Sunday, October 5.
Maverick Vinales' decision to withdraw from the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP was conveyed by Tech3 Racing through an announcement via social media.
"Maverick Vinales will withdraw from MotoGP Indonesia," Tech3 wrote in a post shared Saturday, October 4.
In the same upload, Tech3 also explained the reason why Vinales resigned from the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP was because he wanted to focus on recovering from injury.
"It has been decided with the team that Maverick will focus on recovering his left shoulder," said Tech3.
With this announcement, the former Yamaha and Aprilia racers will officially not race in the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP sprint race this afternoon.
"Unfortunately, Maverick will miss today's sprint, and tomorrow's main race."
Maverick Vinales suffered a left shoulder injury due to a highside in his 2025 German MotoGP qualifier last August. As a result of the accident, Vinales missed the next four races.
