Indonesian Women's Doubles At The Top: Janice/Aldila Tembus Suzhou Open Final
JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's doubles duet, Janice Tjen/Aldila Sutjiadi, made a sweet debut at the Suzhou Open 2025. The pair won the final ticket in their first participation, while maintaining Indonesia's hopes of winning the title.
Janice/Aldila secured a place in the top party after overthrowing the Estelle Cascino/Feng Shui pair in two straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, on Saturday, October 4. This victory brought them to their first final at the WTA level tournament. Previously, their highest achievement was the final ITF W35 Arcade Women's Pro Open in the United States, last February, even though it had to be in the hands of the host pair.
In the final which will be held on Sunday, October 5, Janice/Aldila are scheduled to face the remaining seeds: Katarzyna Kawa/Mokoto Ninomiya (Poland/Japan). The opportunity to win for the Indonesian pair is wide open, considering that their opponent is no longer the top seed.
However, Kawa/Ninomiya still deserve to be wary of. They showed a surprising performance by successfully eliminating the first seed, Storm Hunter/Desirae Krawczyk (Australia/US), in the semifinals.
Janice Tjen: Single Runs Aground, Undisputed flashy Record
The doubles sector is now the only focus for Janice Tjen to bring home the title from the Suzhou Open 2025.

Tjen has also previously ended Indonesia's long wait for the presence of women's singles players at Grand Slam, after Angelique Widjaja's last appearance at the 2004 US Open.
