JAKARTA - PT BYD Motor Indonesia has its own way of greeting the younger generation. This well-known brand from China held a series of Technology Roadshows at a number of leading universities in Central Java and West Java.

Through this step, it shows BYD's commitment to supporting the acceleration of the transition to sustainable mobility as well as opening up space for dialogue and education for students as future leaders.

Interestingly, BYD also specifically also places knowledge transfer as an important element to build awareness and readiness of the younger generation to face energy challenges in the future.

This series of activities began at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Semarang, on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Engineering Hall, Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo Building, M.Sc., 5th floor.

UNDIP is known as one of the leading educational institutions in Indonesia with a strong commitment to technology development and sustainability. After UNDIP, continued this educational journey to the city of Bandung, to be precise at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Thursday, October 3, 2025, located at the Center for Research and Community Services ITB, as a center for innovation and collaboration of multidisciplinary research.

The presence of BYD on both campuses emphasizes the company's initiative to expand the reach of sustainable mobility education in the academic environment. As part of the company's long-term strategy in building awareness and involvement of the younger generation, this series of activities is expected to strengthen the synergy between the industrial world and academics, in order to foster enthusiasm to become part of the transformation towards a green energy ecosystem and sustainable mobility in Indonesia.

Head of Public and Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther Panjaitan, said that as a global technology company that is present in various strategic sectors, and is a pioneer in BYD's renewable energy, innovation is at the heart of every step.

"Through this initiative, we want to bring closer enthusiasm to the younger generation by opening up access to knowledge about future mobility at superior universities in Indonesia," he said, in an official statement received on Sunday, October 5.

By carrying the theme 'Future Mobility & Innovation Showcase', this program comes with various main agendas that are packaged interactively to expand insight as well as provide real experiences for students.

In carrying out this activity at UNDIP, this event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering together with representatives of various cross-disciplinary study programs, including Industrial Electric Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geodesic Engineering, Economics, Digital Business, Architecture, to Political Science, as well as teaching staff and students.

"We hope that this event can be the first step in synergy between the Faculty of Engineering and the Industrial world," said Deputy Dean of Resources at the UNDIP Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ir. Retired Adi Wicaksoko, ST., M.T.

Furthermore, in its implementation at ITB, collaboration was carried out with the ITB Faculty of Machine Engineering and Aerospace (FTMD) and supported by the National Center for Sustainable Transportation Technology (NCSTT) as a leading ITB research center focused on research, development, and application of technology for a sustainable transportation system. NCSTT plays an active role in combining various disciplines to support and encourage environmentally friendly transportation innovations.

"Later (initiatives) will continue to other universities in Indonesia. We hope that students can get a wider perspective so that they can actively contribute to building an inclusive and sustainable electric vehicle ecosystem for Indonesia," added Luther.
