TikTok Live Is Back Active, The Government Declares Monetization Data Is Complete

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) announced the temporary suspension of the TikTok Electronic System Operator List after the platform fulfills its obligation to submit the data requested by the government.

"TikTok has sent requested data related to traffic escalation and monetization activity of TikTok Live in the period 25'30 August 2025 through an official letter dated October 3, 2025," said Director General of Digital Space Supervision of the Ministry of Communication and Industry Alexander Sabar, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 5.

As quoted in a confirmed ministry press statement on Sunday, Alexander said that the data submitted by TikTok included daily recapitulation of traffic escalation, monetization amount, and indications of aggregate-violating monetization.

After conducting a thorough analysis, the Ministry of Communication and Digi assessed that the obligation to provide data had been fulfilled by the TikTok platform provider.

On the basis of fulfilling this obligation, Alexander said, the Ministry of Communication and Industry temporarily suspended the Electronic System Operators List Sign (TDPSE) and reactivated TikTok's status as a registered Electronic System Operator.

The Ministry of Communication and Industry oversees all Private Scope Electronic System Operators or PSE Privacy to ensure they comply with national law provisions.

"We will continue to monitor and communicate continuously with all PSE Private to ensure the effectiveness of implementing regulations and the sustainability of a safe, reliable, and conducive digital ecosystem for all users," said Alexander.

The Ministry of Communication and Trade on Friday (3/10) announced the temporary suspension of the TikTok TDPSE because it assessed that the platform did not fulfill its obligations as an electronic system organizer.

TikTok did not comply with the government's request to submit TikTok Live activity data during the 25-30 August 2025 demonstration period to track the alleged monetization of live broadcast activities from accounts indicated to be carrying out online gambling activities.
