Marc Marquez Apologizes For His Manuver To Alex Rins
ManDALIKA - Ducati Lenovo Racer Marc Marquez apologized for his maneuver to Yamaha racer Alex Rins in the MotoGP Indonesia sprint race which took place at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Saturday.
Entering the start of the lap, Marc, who tried to maneuver, was under pressure from Luca Marini's position who braked suddenly in front of him.
Marc, who avoided Marini's position, then lost control and almost bumped into Rins who was beside him. Luckily Rins was able to avoid Marc even though he had to go down to 18th position.
"I made a mistake on the first lap. I've apologized to Alex, but I can't do much on the first lap," Marc Marquez said in a press conference session after the race.
"At the point everything was stuck in the first corner, I tried to maneuver by looking for a slightly empty gap, instead the racer (Marini) in front of me lost control," said Marc.
Rins, who was stranded to 18th position, was only able to improve his position by finishing in 13th place.
Meanwhile, Marc was hit by an additional time penalty after maneuvering the 29-year-old racer.
The Baby Alien then completed the sprint race by securing the seventh position.
After finishing the race, Marc was seen approaching the Rins paddock and apologized for the incident that had cost him points.
In the press media space, it can be seen that Marc also talked to Rins about his reasons for not being able to avoid the position of Marini who unexpectedly lost control.
Furthermore, Marc and Rins will prepare to look at the main race which takes place on Sunday (5/10).
