House Of Representatives Commission VII: Optimize Tourism Village Development Via Local Wisdom

Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Evita Nursanty encourages the development of tourist villages in various regions, including Sendangasri Tourism Village, Rembang Regency, Central Java, by optimizing the potential of local wisdom, cultural arts, and digital-based creative promotions.

"We appreciate the richness of culture and the spirit of the community in Sendangasri Village, Lasem District, Rembang Regency in developing local tourism," said Evita Nursanty while attending the Community's Softskill Improvement Digital Marketing Workshop in Supporting Tourism in Sendangasri Village Art and Culture in Rembang, Saturday.

Previously, he said, he was also invited to look at the regional cultural arts because the main potential of Sendangasri Village is art and culture, and that has been proven by the performances of the dancers.

Evita emphasized that the development of tourist villages does not only depend on natural beauty, but also on arts, culture and works made by the community.

He appreciated the diversity of local wisdom in every dukuh in the region. Because one dukuh has food processing, another processes coal waste into flower pots and sickles and focuses on arts and cultural training.

"All of this is extraordinary, it's just a matter of how we pack well to become a national tourism promotion," explained the Deputy Chairman of Commission VII of the DPR in charge of industry, MSMEs, tourism, the creative economy and the means of publication.

In a relaxed and familiar atmosphere, Evita even had time to go around using odong-odong to see firsthand the potential for tourism in the three dukuhs.

He said that the integrated packaging of the potential of each dukuh can be an attraction for tourists, both domestic and foreign.

In the future, tourist villages like Sendangasri will become leading destinations. Tourists will not get bored because they can visit various villages with their own uniqueness," he added.

In addition to giving appreciation, Evita also distributed CSR assistance of Rp. 50 million to support the preservation of cultural heritage in the village.

On that occasion, Evita also encouraged the public to actively use social media as a means of promoting tourism.

"Create content, upload it on social media, go viral. If you can't, borrow your finger to Like it. The more people you like, the more people you know about Sendangasri," he said.

According to Evita, community involvement in digital promotion will accelerate the progress of tourist villages so that with the spirit of collaboration and innovation, Sendangasri can certainly become Mandiri Tourism Village in Central Java, even in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Rembang Regent Harno emphasized the commitment of the district government to continue to open up and synergize with various parties for the benefit of the community.

"Anyone who wants to contribute to regional progress is welcome to enter through any route. Please, through anyone. What is clear is that Rembang is ready to help the people of Rembang Regency," he said.

He also expressed his appreciation to Evita, who played a role in regional development, and emphasized that the Rembang community had shown maturity in the world of politics.
