BBMKG: Forecast Of A Number Of Areas In North Sumatra Light Rain On Sunday
MEDAN - Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BBMKG) predicts a number of areas in North Sumatra to be cloudy and have the potential to rain with light intensity on Sunday (5/10).
Forecaster for BBMKG Region I Medan Defri Mendoza, in Medan, Saturday, said that the weather in all areas of North Sumatra is predicted to be cloudy on Sunday (5/10) morning.
In the afternoon and evening, light rain has the potential to occur in several areas such as Toba, North Padang Lawas, Serdang Bedagai, Simalungun, South Tapanuli, North Labuhan Batu, Langkat, Mandailing Natal, Padang Lawas, Pematangsiantar City, Asahan, Deli Serdang, and Karo.

He added that at night the potential for light rain could still occur in the Toba, Samosir, Serdang Bedagai, Simalungun, North Labuhan Batu, Langkat, Padang Lawas, Medan City, Pematangsiantar City, Labuhan Batu, South Labuhan Batu, Asahan, Deli Serdang, and Binjai City.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of the morning, light rain still has the potential to occur in the Mandailing Natal and Padang Lawas areas.
The air temperature in the North Sumatra region is estimated to range from 14 to 33 degrees Celsius with 65 '98 percent humidity. The wind direction blows from south to southwest at a speed of 3'6 km per hour.
"We urge the public to remain alert to the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in several areas and to pay attention to the conditions of the surrounding environment," he said, BBMKG estimated.
