Kapuas Kalteng Regency Government Checks Timpah Health Center Ogah Serves 2 Accident Victims

The Regent of Kapuas in Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan), Muhammad Wiyatno, admitted that he was concerned about the incident when two traffic accident victims did not receive medical services at the Timpah Health Center, until the video went viral on social media.

"Moreover, this is the same class as a puskesmas in the sub-district which is on the side of the road," said Regent Wiyatno in Kuala Kapuas, Saturday.

After learning about the incident, Wiyatno immediately instructed the Regional Secretary of Kapuas Regency and the head of the relevant agencies to immediately check the conditions in the field.

"This really shouldn't happen. People must get the best service, especially when it comes to health," he said.

He instructed the Head of the Kapuas Health Office, Tonun Iraway Panjaitan, to be firm with the Head of the Timpah Health Center, if the information that went viral was true.

"I plan to check there today," said Tonun Iraway Panjaitan, when contacted.

If that is true, such as the information circulating on social media, the Head of the Department of Education stated that it is very unfortunate because this is a public service and is related to humanity.

"And we will take a firm stance against the head of the Timpah Health Center. However, if the information from the head of the puskesmas is correct, we will build it to better direct employees," he said.

Based on the information from the head of the Timpah Health Center, at the time of the incident two puskesmas officers who were on guard happened to come out looking for food in the market.

After that the accident patient came, after arriving in front of the inpatient hallway, the staff at the office next to the inpatient building were seen, then he took the accident patient into the emergency room, then the two guard officers came," said Tonun.

Previously, a video showing two traffic accident victims neglected at the Timpah Health Center circulated on social media and raised public concerns.

In the viral recording, two victims whose identities are not yet known are on the terrace of the puskesmas, Friday, October 3 afternoon at around 15.00 WIB. One of the victims was lying on the floor in a weak condition, while the other victim could only sit leaning.

Ironically, when they arrived at the health facility, they did not immediately get medical services.

Instead of getting help, the door to the puskesmas was closed tightly and tied with a rope. No medical personnel were seen at the location when the video was recorded.

Police officers accompanying the victims into the puskesmas took the initiative to evacuate the two into the room for further treatment.
