JAKARTA - Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron agreed on the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding the assessment results of the National Insight Test (TWK) should be as input for the improvement of institutions and individuals kpk.

"We appreciate the President's high commitment to the eradication of corruption through the statement that kpk must have the best human resources that have a high commitment to eradicate corruption. Therefore, we agreed to make the results of TWK as input for the improvement of institutions and individuals KPK," ghufron said in his statement in Jakarta, reported antara, Monday, May 17.

KPK, ghufron continued, welcomed the President's message that in accordance with the consideration of the Constitutional Court (MK) in the material test decision of Law (Uu) No. 19 of 2019 on the second amendment of Law No. 30 of 2002 concerning the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption.

"Stating that the process of transferring KPK employees to ASN employees should not harm the rights of employees," said Ghufron.

Following up on the President's directive, he said his agency will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Administrative And Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB), the State Personnel Agency (BKN), and other relevant institutions.

"With the direction of this President, we hope that the process of transfering the status of KPK employees to ASN employees can be completed immediately by keeping the principles and procedures so that we can re-focus on the work of eradicating corruption," he said.

Previously, President Jokowi asserted that the results of TWK could not be the basis for the dismissal of 75 KPK employees.

"The results of the National Insight Test on KPK employees should be an input for kpk improvement measures, both against individuals and kpk institutions and not necessarily as a basis for dismissing 75 KPK employees who were declared not to pass the test," said President Jokowi through the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube "channel" on Monday.

As is known, the announcement of TWK results on May 5, 2021 stated that of the 1,351 KPK employees who participated in TWK and there were only 1,274 qualified employees, while 75 employees were not eligible (TMS).

"The Corruption Eradication Commission, KPK must have the best human resources and be highly committed in the efforts to eradicate corruption," said the President.

Therefore, the transfer of kpk employee status to State Civil Apparatus (ASN), according to President Jokowi should be part of efforts to eradicate corruption more systematically.

"If it is considered that there are shortcomings I think there are still opportunities to improve through the education of nationality and it is necessary to take immediate steps of improvement at the individual and organizational level," said the President.
