Minister Dody Ensures That The IKN Infrastructure Project Managed By The Ministry Of Public Works Continues
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo ensured that infrastructure development projects in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, carried out by the Ministry of Public Works will continue.
"We are still finishing it. Our homework (homework) has not been completed, it will be completed," said Dody when met at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, October 3.
Dody explained that the IKN development plan is currently under the IKN Authority.
Including the implementation of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 79 of 2025 concerning the Update of the 2025 Government Work Plan (RKP), one of which regulates the acceleration of IKN development.
"Overall design, right, there is already an Authority (IKN). The Authority will translate what is meant by the Presidential Decree. We are only completing the remaining (projects) that we have not completed," he said.
Currently, the Ministry of Public Works is completing a number of projects at IKN that are being carried out using the Annual Contract or Multi Years Contract (MYC) scheme.
Projects that use the MYC scheme are still continuing because the funding has been under contract from the start, so it must be completed.
The MYC projects, such as the Vice Presidential Palace, State Mosques, ASN housing and the Balikpapan 'IKN' Toll Road, which are targeted for completion by the end of 2025.
As for Presidential Decree 79/2025, IKN is said to be the capital of politics in 2028 with the support of the transfer of ASN and the provision of adequate infrastructure.
It is targeted that 1,700-4,100 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) will move and serve in the new capital city.
