Indra Sjafri Leads The First Practice Of The U-23 Indonesian National Team, Not All Players Join
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team continues to finalize preparations before appearing at the 2025 SEA Games. The Garuda Muda squad underwent its inaugural training on Friday, October 3, 2025, but there are still a number of names that have not joined.
Led by coach Indra Sjafri, the first batch of training camps will be held in Jakarta until October 12, 2025. Later, the agenda will continue with the second wave which will take place in November 2025.
For this preparation, Indra Sjafri has summoned 32 players from a number of clubs. However, not all can join for different reasons.
"The players we called at the first TC had 32 players, almost all the responses from the club gave the players."

"However, there were indeed several players after communication was made between the national team doctor and the club doctor, two players were injured," said Indra Sjafri before leading the exercise.
The two players who missed the first TC were Marselino Ferdinand and Muhammad Kafiatur who were still recovering from injuries.
Despite being disturbed by injury problems, Indra emphasized that Marselino has a great opportunity to enter the list of 23 players for the 2025 SEA Games.
"(Marselino) has not been summoned, not not called, but he is included in the 50 players we registered. We are open to the 50 registered players," said the coach who led Indonesia to win the 2023 SEA Games gold medal.
Apart from the two names, there are five other players who have not been seen practicing together. They are Rafael Struick, Hokky Caraka, Kakang Rudianto, Team Geypens, Dion Markx, Adrian Wibowo, and Ivar Jenner.
"Hokky Caraka must (join) on the 5th (October 2025) because the 4th (October 2025) Persita is still playing. Kakang has just returned from Thailand, he has a family event, I will give him one holiday," said Indra Sjafri about players who have not joined.
