Tempest Series Writer Opens Voice About China's Dialogue Controversy
JAKARTA - The author of the Tempest series, Chung Seo Kyung, opened his voice about the controversy that arose in the middle of the episode. The series is played by Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won.
In one episode, Jun Ji Hyun's character Seo Mun Ju said, 'But why did China choose war? The border area could be a nuclear target.'
This clip got a negative response and thought Jun Ji Hyun insulted their country. Seeing this, Chung Seo Kyung felt bad about Jun Ji Hyun who received criticism.
"I wrote the dialogue and regarding the situation, I kept thinking if I should go ahead and say something," Chung Seo Kyung quoted JoongAng as saying.
"This is a fission story and Jun Ji Hyun understands that and to be honest I feel heavy hearted because he was involved in controversy because of what I wrote, but he calmly said It's just fiction and people will understand it's a relief for me," he continued.

In addition to discussing the action, the Tempest series also emphasizes the romance side between Park San Ho and Seo Mun Ju. Chung Seo Kyung explained that he tried to add romance spices between the complexities of conflict.
"The first thing I consider is what makes their story different from romance stories in their 20s? The difference is that I feel these two people bring experiences from their past," said Chung Seo Kyung.
