JAKARTA Indonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon received a visit from the Deputy CEO of the French Studio Museum, Vincent Larnicol, with a team at Building E of the Ministry of Culture, Friday, October 3. The meeting opened up opportunities for strategic cooperation for the development of museums and Indonesian cultural heritage.

The Studio Museum is known for its prestigious projects in various countries, from exhibition design, curation, to immersive experience production. Vincent introduced their portfolio which includes master plan planning for cultural sites, branding, and global communication strategies. Indonesia is a world cultural gem. Its cultural heritage site is extraordinary, with the potential to become the next big thing," said Vincent.

Fadli emphasized that Indonesia is rich in historical heritage, but faces challenges in management. We need a modern approach that remains rooted in local values. Studio Museum can be a partner to strengthen the cultural ecosystem with international experience," he said.

The Studio Museum offers strategic support, ranging from the development of priority site masterplans, international scale immersive exhibitions, to the development of local intellectual property (IP) in order to compete in the global market. Vincent emphasized the importance of a hybrid approach 'incorporating original artifacts with digital technology' so that the younger generation can enjoy culture in an authentic way, not just sensations.

Fadli closed the dialogue by emphasizing culture as the foundation of the future. This cooperation is not only to strengthen the image of Indonesian culture, but also to create real social and economic impacts for the community around the heritage site," he said.

The meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha and the relevant officials, marked the beginning of an in-depth collaboration. The Ministry of Culture will follow up through a technical team so that cooperation with the Studio Museum remains based on national cultural sovereignty.
