2,580 Joint Personnel Deployed, Police Guarantee Mandalika Circuit Security

JAKARTA - Assistant to the Chief of Police for Operations (Astamaops), KomjenPol Fadil Imran ensures security during the MotoGP on October 3-5, 2025 at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara uses the best standards.

"The National Police is ready to ensure that MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit runs safely, orderly and memorable. Let's show the world that Indonesia is capable of world-class events with the best safety standards," he said after monitoring the security situation at a number of points outside and inside the Mandalika Circuit, Friday, October 3.

He said the total personnel involved were to secure the implementation of MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit as many as 2,580 personnel, consisting of elements of the TNI and Polda NTB.

Meanwhile, security is divided into three zones, namely west, central, and east, with seven task forces. This security is supported by anti-drone system technology and air monitoring using helicopters.

"These three zones are vulnerable because they become gathering points where visitors will enter the Mandalika Circuit zone," said Fadil Imran.

Fadil Imran assessed that in general the readiness of personnel on the first day of the MotoGP implementation was in accordance with the operational plan that had been set. However, he still sees that there are still shortcomings that need immediate attention.

"The initial check is still lacking and I am not satisfied, that's why I asked Dirlantas to be really serious and how to manage parking so that it is really orderly," he said.

According to the former Metro Jaya Police Chief, the implementation of MotoGP is not just a race. But Indonesia's stage in the eyes of the international community, all eyes are on Mandalika, so that a few incidents can be in the spotlight of the world.

"We know the challenges here are large tens of thousands of spectators, heavy traffic, potentially vulnerable crowds, to threats of crime and cyber. So, Indonesia's face is reflected in the success of security in Mandalika," said Fadil Imran.

Therefore, continued Fadil Imran, the National Police together with all ranks ensured that Operation Mandalika Rinjani 2025, was disciplined and measurable.

"Of course, this security is by synergizing with the TNI, Regional Government and the organizing committee," he said.
