Beckham Putra's Great Ambition To Help The Indonesian National Team Reach The 2026 World Cup
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung player Beckham Putra expressed his big ambition to help the Indonesian national team qualify for the 2026 World Cup. This was stated by the player after helping the team compete in the AFC Champions League Elite Two (Liga Champions Asia 2).
Beckham is one of the players on the list of Indonesian national team players in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification against Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The golden moment was clearly not easy for Beckham because he was also on a busy schedule with Maung Bandung.
However, he remains wholeheartedly for the Indonesian national team. This was seen when Beckham, who immediately flew to Saudi Arabia after helping Persib win 2-0 against Bangkok United in the AFC Champions League Elite Two.
Beckham admitted that he was enthusiastic about joining the Indonesian national team. He also has great ambitions to help make history so that the Garuda Squad can qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals.

"I have to maintain conditions. The travel schedule is quite tight. There is not much time with my wife and family. However, most importantly I am healthy, not injured, and in the Indonesian national team, the history of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup," Beckham said as quoted from Persib's official website, Friday, October 3, 2025.
The player with the number seven back is also ready to look at the match against Saudi Arabia and Iraq. According to him, the Indonesian national team is not impossible to win in these two crucial matches.
"Competition is very difficult, but the most important thing is mental and taking advantage of every opportunity," he said.
Beckham is part of the Indonesian national team along with three other players from the Persib squad, namely Marc Klok, Eliano Reijnders, and Thom Haye. While defending the Indonesian national team later, the four of them will also meet their teammates who defend Iraq, Frans Putros.
The Indonesian national team will compete against Saudi Arabia on October 8, 2025 and three days later serve Iraq in the struggle in the Fourth Round of 2026 World Cup Qualification.
