The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya said that traffic engineering during the celebration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary at Silang Monas, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, October 5 was situational.
"The traffic flow engineering plan is situational, considering that on Sunday it is estimated that there will be a large number of people, with the involvement of quite a lot of troops," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Komarudin in a statement in Jakarta, Friday, quoted by Antara.
He also appealed to people who will be active towards Monas to plan their journey from now on.
"Of course we will see the volume of the vehicle, considering that on Sunday it is planned that Car Free Day (CFD) will also continue to run according to the latest instructions or directions," said Komarudin.
His party also monitors if there is an increase in volume on certain roads, such as the Merdeka Barat, Merdeka Timur, South North which will later be used as a drop off place, including later pick-up and access to Monas, starting from Harmoni, then also from the Banteng field, then from Tugu Tani, considering that Sudirman-Thamrin is used for CFD community activities.
"This road section is predicted to occur in density or increase in volume. Therefore, the public please be able to consider the use of access or roads," said Komarudin.
For residents who carry private vehicles, he reminded them not to park them on roads, especially along Merdeka Barat, Timur, North, South roads and then on Jalan Banteng Barat, East, North and South.
"We have coordinated, for parking bags that have been prepared, there are several points there, including being able to park in offices along Merdeka Selatan, Danareksa, then also several other pockets, then also IRTI, then there are also Gambir stations and several other points that we have recommended and coordination can be used as parking bags," explained Komarudin.
