Aceh Police Stop Case Of Alleged Violation Of Broad Rights 19 Coffee Stalls
BANDA ACEH - Investigators from the Indagsi Sub-Directorate of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Police have stopped handling cases of alleged violations of broadcasting rights involving 19 coffee shops in Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar District.
Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police, Kombes Zulhir Destrian, said the case was terminated after the broadcasting rights holder, namely the Vidio digital broadcasting platform, withdrew the report.
"The handling of cases of alleged violations of broadcasting rights has been stopped after the broadcasting rights holder withdrew the report at the Aceh Police. This means that cases will no longer be continued," said Zulhir in Banda Aceh, Antara, Friday, October 3.
Zulhir said that the withdrawal of the report was carried out after mediation was facilitated by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya and related parties.
After the mediation process, investigators followed up with the formal legal administration stage so that both the complainant and the reported party would receive legal certainty.
"The handling of cases was stopped after the entire formal legal administration process was completed. Previously, it was limited to mediation and the revocation of the report, now the legal status has been completed," he said.

However, Zulhir reminded the public, especially coffee shop managers, to be wiser in broadcasting television broadcasts or digital content in public spaces. According to him, broadcasting rights are part of intellectual property rights (Haki) that are protected by law, so that violations can have legal implications.
"We hope that business actors ensure that the content that is broadcast comes from official channels or has a valid broadcasting permit. Let's respect the work, services, and rights of other parties, so that the business climate in Aceh can run healthy," said Zulhir.
