Coupled With IBM To Improve AI Skills Among Vocational Students

JAKARTA - Didoding announced a collaboration with IBM Skills Build, a free educational program aimed at increasing access to technology education.

The program, which is named PIJAK, is intended to help develop AI skills among vocational students and support future economic growth by equipping students with digital skills.

The collaboration was launched for the first time in Bandung State Polytechnic and strengthened IBM's commitment to increasing the skills of 30 million people by 2030, including two million in AI by 2026.

Through this collaboration, the IBM Skills Build silabus will be delivered in Indonesian. This program will also be available in various languages and expand the opportunity for participation in Indonesia's digital transformation.

"We are very grateful to IBM for entrusting Dicoding as a curriculum provider and organizer of PIJAK. We are committed to presenting world-class AI learning for vocational students throughout Indonesia," said Narenda Wicaksono, CEO of Dicoding.

Narenda emphasized that PIJAK reflects the vision of Dicoding to expand digital literacy nationally. Coed will present a global standard curriculum through industry experts to ensure graduates are ready to have a career in the world of technology in the future.

The curriculum provided includes the introduction of Artificial Intelligence, Creative AI, and AI Ethics. In addition, students selected for the intensive route will take part in special training, namely "Career Management Essentials".

"Our collaboration with Dicoding is part of IBM's long-term commitment to strengthening AI capacity in Indonesia as well as our global commitment to providing free AI training to 2 million people by 2026," added Roy Kosasih, President Director, IBM Indonesia.

PIJAK also aims to produce not only graduates who are ready to work, but also novice digital entrepreneurs who can encourage Indonesia's economic growth.
