DENPASAR - The Denpasar District Prosecutor's Office has charged a celebrity, Vienna Varella Angeli Parinussa (19) with two years and six months (2.5 years) in prison in an online gambling case (judol) at a Denpasar District Court hearing, Thursday, October 2.

In his indictment, Public Prosecutor Ni Putu Eriek Sumyanti stated that the defendant Vienna was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act intentionally and without the right to distribute and or transmit and or make accessible Electronic Information or Electronic Documents that have gambling content.

The defendant is considered to be promoting online gambling sites (judols) through his social media accounts.

"Demanding, stating that the defendant is sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years and 6 months reduced while the defendant is in detention and imposes a fine of Rp. 30 million, subsidiary to four months," said Public Prosecutor Eriek as quoted by ANTARA.

The thing that burdens the defendant is not supporting government programs that are actively eradicating people's diseases in the form of online gambling.

While mitigating things, the defendant was cooperative during the trial, had never been convicted, and felt guilty and promised not to do it again.

In the prosecutor's trial, the defendant said that he had violated Article 27 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (3) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.

This stems from the defendant, who is a celebrity, freelancer and endorser born in Tangerang, managing a number of social media accounts, including Instagram @Viennaa.Parinasaaa which was created since 2014 with more than 57 thousand followers, a TikTok account with a similar name since 2023, and an active WhatsApp account with the number 081311544748.

From the Instagram account, he posted a story containing a link and watermark on the online gambling site 'KYOTA98'.

"The post was made between February and March 2025, using the defendant's black iPhone 15 mobile phone," explained the prosecutor.

Vienna's actions took place from 11 February to 16 April 2025 at his home on Jalan Gunung Lebah No. 14, Monang Maning Village, West Denpasar.

His legal advisor, Mochammad Lukman Hakim, was met after the trial explaining that his client was offered by someone named 'Cindy' to upload a judol website link.

Communication is carried out via WhatsApp number +6282211212128.

"He only posted links and watermarks according to directions, then posted them on Instagram," said Lukman.

After that, he was required to send proof of posting to another WhatsApp account on behalf of Justin and an admin account called crypto endorsement (cindy).

In return, Vienna received a payment of IDR 100,000 to IDR 300 thousand per post, transferred to its account. The transaction records revealed in court showed a number of incomes, including IDR 4 million in February 2024, several transfers of hundreds of thousands in February 2025, and IDR 1 million on March 16, 2025.

"The money is recognized as used for daily needs," said Lukman.

It was also explained that his Instagram account was private, so only approved followers could see the post.

Namun, dengan jumlah pengikut mencapai puluhan ribu, unggahannya tetap dianggap berpotensi luas menyebarkan akses judi.

In the action, Vienna created an Instagram story about the site using her iPhone 15 mobile phone, equipped with photos or videos as a setting, then pinned a watermark and link to the online gambling site.
