MBG Poisoning In West Java, Dedi Mulyadi: Troubled SPPG Will Be Stopped

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that he would stop the service of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) which was recorded as having problems providing food in the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food Program or MBG.

"We will stop the SPPG which causes poisoning," he said in Bandung, quoted by ANTARA, following a case of food poisoning in school students who eat food in the MBG Program.

When asked about the death of a student at SMKN 1 Cihampelas in West Bandung Regency, who was previously known to have consumed food in the MBG Program, Dedi said that the handling of the case was handed over to law enforcement officials.

"Let the investigators investigate it and then investigate it by forensic results," he said after giving directions to state civil servants within the West Java Provincial Government.

A student of SMKN 1 Cihampelas named Bunga Rahmawati (17) died on September 30, 2025.

Flowers experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and seizures before they die.

Because a few days earlier he participated in consuming MBG food which caused poisoning to many students at his school, Bunga's death was associated with food poisoning in the MBG Program.

Bunga Rahmawati is known to have consumed food in the MBG Program on September 24, 2025, when 121 students of SMKN 1 Cihampelas experienced symptoms of poisoning after eating MBG food.

The West Bandung District Health Office stated that Bunga was suffering from stomach disease and ensured that his death was not caused by food poisoning in the MBG Program.
