Campus League First Edition Ready To Be Held
JAKARTA The first edition of the Campus League competition is ready to be held. A total of 64 teams from various universities on the island of Java will participate in the event.
The opening season of the Campus League will take place from October to December 2025. This first edition will only compete in the women and men's category of futsal sports.
Campus League CEO Ryan Gozali said that Campus League was born from an initiative to take part in improving Indonesia's sporting achievements.
"We see that sports competitions at the level of universities that are integral are an absolute necessity to strengthen the chain of our sporting achievements that are not yet fully optimal," he said.

Campus League is born from the idea that a competition that is structured and tiered at various age levels is an absolute requirement in developing national sports achievements, including in universities.
Ryan emphasized that the Campus League is not a temporary program, but will become a long-term and consistent ecosystem being held to ensure that it is able to reach all sports stakeholders.
"It is in line with the Campus League's mission as an inter-campus sports competition platform that upholds equality, consistency, and long-term growth, in order to form a strong young generation through academic pillars, athleticism, and affinity," he said.
The Campus League blueprint has a plan in the next 10 years and is divided into three phases. The first phase begins in 2025-2027 for the competition in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara.
The second phase is in 2028-2029 to start the concept of home and away and add competition in the non-sports sector. Finally, the third phase is 2030-2034, namely the sustainability stage by forming closed league vision and commercialization.
The inaugural season of the Campus League will officially run in 2026 with greater coverage and region, as well as more diverse sports. In addition, there is also a non-olahraga competition.
The inaugural season of this competition has totaled three main sports with the highest average enthusiasts among students. In addition to futsal, two other sports are basketball and badminton.
In addition, there will also be a unigames competition consisting of several sports including women's soccer, wall climbing, ju-jitsu, wushu, darit, and billiards.
Ryan said that as an inclusive forum, Campus League collaborates with universities and the academic community as the main ecosystem and stakeholders of sports federations, sponsors, and the media, and the sports community.
"We realize that this Campus League mission cannot be achieved alone but moves together as an ecosystem that supports each other," said Ryan.
Universities that are participants in the first edition of the competition come from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The implementation will only be held in Jakarta and Yogyakarta.
