"After the completion, Alhamdulillah, the meeting went smoothly. However, when the Regent left the DPRD building, there were support groups and other groups who were arguing with each other. Finally, we secured it in front of the DPRD office," said Chief of Police Pati Kombes Pol. Jaka Wahyudi in Pati, confiscated by Antara.
According to him, the authorities immediately controlled the situation by asking the two camps to exercise restraint. The supporters of the Pati Regent were escorted to return to their respective places, while the AMPB crowd was directed to leave the area around the Pati Square so that further collisions would not occur.
"We invite communication so that they both withdraw, both from supporters of the Regent and from AMPB. We take care of each other so that conflicts or disputes do not occur. Thankfully, everyone can exercise restraint and finally the situation will return to conducive," he said.
