Anies Meet Ketum PAN Considered Approach To The 2024 Presidential Election, But Judged Loss If Only Close To The Islamic Parliament
JAKARTA - The visit of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to the residence of the Chairman of DPP PAN, Zukifli Hasan, on Thursday, May 13, was considered reasonable. Moreover, Anies is rumored to be running for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
"Anies is a non-political party, not a cadre of political parties means it requires a lot of support from the chairman of the party. Whatever the party," Al Azhar University Indonesia political leader Ujang Komarudin told VOI on Monday, May 17.
According to him, the meeting of Anies-Zulhas on Eid al-Fitr made the beginning of the process of political communication towards the 2024 election.
"Whether pan later supports it or not, that's another thing. The important thing is that the political relationship is conducted. So that when later Anies say the electability is high and need a vehicle, PAN hopes to support it," explained Ujang.
However, the Executive Director of Indonesia Political Review (IPR) assessed that the political fight of the 2024 Presidential Election is still very far away. Therefore the matter of supporting the support of the parliament is still too dynamic.
"All is still possible because the political fight is still far unseen, but if we tinker with the format that is close to Anies now there is a MCC, Nasdem, could be with PAN. Maybe also with democrats, Well that's enough (Presidential Threshold, red)," Ujang said.
In fact, he continued, the 2024 presidential election will no longer talk opposition-coalition parties. So any party's support for Anies is still very fluid.
"If we talk 2024 it will no longer talk the opposition and coalition, already talk of their respective interests. Because if we talk the current coalition-opposition is in the Jokowi government. But if the talk of 2024 is very fluid then, last month MCC-PPP there is a coalition issue. So the count is very fluid. It's been talked about the importance of securing each other," Ujang said.
Seeing the trend of Anies supporters with Islamic party background, Ujang reminded Anies of loss if not ask for the support of nationalist party.
"The loss if only close to the Islamic party, should also get support from the nationalist party. Because we know the people of Indonesia even though the majority of Muslims but the vote of the Islamic party never reached 10 percent. Therefore, Anies still needs a nationalist party other than the Islamic party," he said.
While Gerindra who originally supported Anies in Jakarta, it is unlikely that the former Minister of Education will carry the former Minister of Education in the 2024 presidential election. Unless, Anies is willing to be the vice president accompanying Prabowo Subianto.
"Gerindra clear Prabowo, it is very clear the ticket for Prabowo. It's just a matter of who's the president? That's waiting, because of course Gerindra's ticket to Prabowo is not to Anies," said Ujang Komarudin.
Previously reported, Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan reportedly met the Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), at his residence in Cipinang Area, East Jakarta, Thursday, May 13.
The visit of the number one person in DKI Jakarta was also justified by The Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno. He stated that the meeting between Anies and Zulhas was a regular friendship because it coincided with Eid al-Fitr, some people considered the meeting to raise speculation regarding potential political cooperation towards 2024.
