Dumai Refinery Burns, Pertamina Affirms Fire Extinguished

JAKARTA - Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) opened its voice regarding the fire that occurred at the Dumai Refinery.

Dumai Refinery Area Manager Communication Relations & CSR Agustiawan said that currently the Fire Team at Dumai Refinery is currently focusing on handling the incident at one of the units at the refinery.

"Officers are deployed to immediately extinguish the fire at the scene to isolate it so it does not spread to other areas," he said in a statement to the media, Wednesday, October 1.

He added that at this time his party did not know the cause of the fire and was still focused on efforts to deal with the incident.

Agustiawan also apologized for the incident that disturbed the comfort of the surrounding community.

"Please help pray from the community, so that we can handle this incident immediately," he concluded.
