Teenager Disappears Drowning While Swimming In Kramat Jati River, Firefighters Still Searching

JAKARTA - A young man named Ferdiaz (20) reported missing drowned on Jalan AMD 28, RT 04/05, Balekambang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

The incident was reported to the East Jakarta Damkar. The Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officer who received the report immediately carried out a search effort starting at 16.12 WIB.

As many as 10 firefighters were deployed to the location to search for victims.

According to residents' information, the incident began when the victim and his friend took a bath at that time.

"Then the victim was carried away by the current. The victim tried to save himself but instead was in a tight position in the middle. Not long after, the victim was no longer visible," said a resident at the location.

As of Wednesday night, the victim was still being searched by firefighters from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.
