Here's How It's Easy To Lock Facebook Profiles On Desktop And Mobile

JAKARTA Almost all social media provide the option to lock profiles, including Facebook. Using this feature, users can limit access to their profiles to unfriendly users.

The profile key is also an effective feature to limit interaction. As long as this feature is active, unfriendly users cannot view account personal posts or details, cannot see uploaded photos, or even shared stories.

This feature will hide most of your sensitive information to the public. If you are interested in accessing this feature, here's how to enable the profile lock on Facebook, citing from How to Geek.

Lock Profile Via Desktop

For users using Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computers, a profile lock can be done on Facebook's website. You can use any browser.

Make sure to log in to the account first, then click on your profile image in the upper right corner, then click your name to go to the profile page. On your profile page, click the three-dot icon in the tab row below your name.

When the pop-up menu appears, select the Profile Lock option to continue. Next, you will see your Profile Lock confirmation window. If confirmed, click OK and your account will be locked.

Lock Profile Via Mobile

For iPhone, iPad, or Android phone users, you can lock your profile via the Facebook app. Login to your account first, then tap the horizontal three-line icon. This icon is in the lower right corner of iOS or iPadOS and at the top right if you use Android.

On the open Menu screen, tap your profile name at the top, then search for and tap the three-dot icon under your name. Once the Profile Settings page opens, you can select the Profile Lock option.

Lastly, on your Profile Lock screen, tap the confirmation button to complete the lockdown process. You will receive a confirmation message that you have successfully locked the profile of a foreigner on Facebook.
