Pramono Overthrows MBG's Toxic Responsibility At Pasar Rebo To Central Government

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that when asked about the incident, dozens of students experienced symptoms of poisoning at SD Negeri 01 Gedong, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.

Pramono threw the responsibility for handling cases of student poisoning after consuming the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) to the central government.

"Ask the central government. Thank you," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, October 1.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 21 students of SDN 01 Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta were poisoned after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Dozens of students were poisoned by MBG with early symptoms of stomach pain, dizziness to nausea. The MBG poisoning incident started with the school which divided MBG for grades 1, 2, 5 and 6. A number of students smelled the smell from the shared noodle menu. The school then asked the students not to continue eating MBG.

Finally, SDN 01 Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta temporarily suspended consumption of MBG on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, after the incident of 21 students with MBG food poisoning.

"For the time being, we will stop the results (food checks)," said Acting Head of SDN Gedong 01, Kurnia Sari to reporters, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Kurnia explained that the students of SDN who were poisoned were taken to Pasar Rebo Hospital because they experienced nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

They contracted after eating MBG food containing fried noodles, fried eggs, tofu, capcay and strawberries on Tuesday, September 30.

"Actually, this cannot be said to be poisoning, it happens that in the morning after gymnastics we set the children in the field to consume free nutritious food. Then soon there are indications, then there are students who vomit, followed by others. 21 (victim students) to be precise," he explained.

The school is still waiting for the results of the examination from the local puskesmas regarding the incident of dozens of elementary school students who experienced vomiting after eating MBG.

The school has also not been able to confirm whether its students are categorized as food poisoning or not.

"Not yet, because no statement has been issued from the puskesmas or the health office, the school cannot say that it is poisoning," he said.
