Labor Wants To Boycott Indomaret, Anthony Salim's Conglomerate Men: 30 Years We Always Pay THR
JAKARTA - PT Indomarco Prismatama provides an explanation on the issue of workers who will boycott Indomaret products. The Company stated that it has fulfilled the obligation to pay employee holiday allowance (THR).
This statement was issued by Indomaret management, after a number of employees stated the plan to boycott the products of the retail company owned by the conglomerate Anthony Salim because one of the workers was reported to the police while fighting for THR 2020.
"All employees have earned their rights. Including THR 2020 that has been given with the amount and time in accordance with Menaker Regulation No. 6/2016," said Managing Director of PT Indomarco Prismatama Wiwiek Yusuf in his written statement, Monday, May 17.
Referring to the regulation, workers with a working period of 12 months are continuously entitled to receive THR amounting to 1 month wages ahead of Religious Holidays. While workers with a working period of under 12 months are entitled to receive thr amount proportionally.
In addition, the company itself is required to provide THR no later than 7 days before the Religious Holiday. The polemic of THR Indomaret payment itself was raised when one of Indomaret's workers was reported criminally by the company for damaging the office gypsum while fighting for THR 2020.
In response, Wiwiek also confirmed that during the 30 years running of the company's management, Indomaret has never delinquent THR payment obligations. He also ensures workers get the rights as stipulated in the regulations.
As for the destruction done by one of the employees in 2020, Wiwiek said Indomaret submitted the case to the ongoing legal process. All parties are expected to appreciate the ongoing legal process.
"As part of the community, Indomaret continues to serve the best needs of the community. Therefore, management invites employees and the public at large to conduct productive activities to support the government in restoring the national economy in the pandemic," said Wiwiek.
