The Export Value Of The Republic Of Indonesia In August 2025 Rose 5.78 Percent To 24.96 Billion US Dollars

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that export performance in August 2025 increased by 5.78 percent compared to August 2024 which was recorded at 23.60 billion US dollars.

Deputy for Production Statistics, M Habibullah, detailed that the value of oil and gas exports was recorded at 1.07 billion US dollars, down 10.88 percent.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas exports rose 6.68 percent with a value of 23.89 billion US dollars.

"The increase in the value of exports in August 2025 on an annual basis is mainly driven by an increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports, namely in animal/drug fat and oil commodities which rose 51.7 percent with a contribution of 5.18 percent," Habibullah said at an online press conference, Wednesday, October 1.

He continued, the increase in the value of exports in August was also triggered by exports of precious metals and jewelry which rose by 34.76 percent with a share of 1.02 percent.

Then the export of nickel and goods increased by 35.34 percent with a share of 0.98 percent.

The cumulative export value from January to August 2025 reached USD 185.3 billion, an increase of 7.72 percent compared to the same period last year which was recorded at USD 171.86 billion.

He detailed that the value of oil and gas exports was recorded at 9.04 billion US dollars, down 14.14 percent compared to the previous period. Then, the value of non-oil and gas exports was recorded at 176.09 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.15 percent compared to the previous one.
