From The Crocodile Hole, Prabowo Invites The Nation To Remember The Sacrifice Of Heroes

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto while reviewing the "death well" at Lubang Buaya, Jakarta, Wednesday, offered a prayer for the Heroes of the Revolution who died during the tragedy of the September 30, 1965 Movement (G30S).

The President, on the side of the marble wall that circles the well, stands and closes his eyes while raising his hands to pray for 10 Revolutionary Heroes, including six generals and 2 officers whose bodies were dumped in the "death well" in the Lubang Buaya area, East Jakarta.

"The permission of the President, here is an old well or a deadly well where seven Revolutionary Heroes are dumped. The depth of this well is 12 meters, and the diameter is 75 centimeters," said Head of the TNI Historical Center Brigadier General Stefie Jantje Nupanian.

At the same location, the leaders of other state institutions such as the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Puan Maharani and the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani also participated in the moment of silence.

Then, in the back row of President Prabowo, there were also Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Djamari Chaniago, and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.

At the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Lubang Buaya, Wednesday morning, President Prabowo for the first time led a ceremony to commemorate the Pancasila Sanctity Day in memory of the tragedy of the death of the Revolutionary Hero on September 30, 1965.

The ceremony procession was filled with a moment of silence, then the reading of the Pancasila text by the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani.

After that, the text of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia was read by the Deputy Chairperson of the DPD RI Yorrys Raweyai, then the reading of the Pledge of Loyalty to Pancasila by the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani.

The ranks of ministers and state officials who attended today's ceremony include Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Immigration and Correction Agus Andrianto, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, and Head of the Government Communications Agency as well as Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Angga Raka Prabowo.
