Toxic Student, SDN 01 School Gedong Pasar Rebo Temporarily Stops MBG Consumption

JAKARTA - SDN 01 Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta temporarily suspended consumption of free nutritious food (MBG) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, after the incident of 21 MBG food poisoning students.

"Not (temporary stop). For the time being, we will stop the results (food check)," said Acting Head of SDN Gedong 01, Kurnia Sari to reporters, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Worse, poisoned elementary school (SDN) students were taken to Pasar Rebo Hospital because they experienced nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

They contracted after eating MBG food which contained fried noodles, fried eggs, tofu, capcay andgal fruit on Tuesday, September 30.

The poisoned students are thought to be from pale and odor-colored fried noodle foods.

"Actually, this cannot be said to be poisoning, it happens that in the morning after gymnastics we set the children in the field to consume free nutritious food. Then soon there are indications, then there are students who vomit, followed by others. 21 (victim students) to be precise," he explained.

The school is still waiting for the results of the examination from the local puskesmas regarding the incident of dozens of elementary school students who experienced vomiting after eating MBG.

The school has also not been able to confirm whether its students are categorized as food poisoning or not.

"Not yet, because no statement has been issued from the puskesmas or the health office, the school cannot say that it is poisoning," he said.

Meanwhile, from the Pasar Rebo Hospital, there has also been no examination of the content of the MBG food.

"Nothing yet. Yes (after MBG consumption). (Menunya) Mie goreng, tofu sumedang goreng, oseng sawi with carrots, eggs.

Meanwhile, when eaten by elementary school students, it turned out that the MBG food emitted an unpleasant aroma.

"Yes (vegetable food). I can't say like that (there are hints). Yes, it's like that (the smell of bad). There is also fried noodles (small smell), the eggs are a little (smell)," he explained.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 20 students of SDN 01 Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta were poisoned after eating the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) menu on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning where the students were participating in teaching and learning activities. The food poisoning incident occurred at SDN 01 Gedong, Jalan Trikora, RT 02/09, Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo.

Based on information compiled by VOI, as many as 20 students were poisoned by MBG with initial symptoms of stomach pain, dizziness to nausea.

The MBG poisoning incident started with the school which divided MBG into grades 1, 2, 5 and 6.

Furthermore, when grade 1 and 2 children were going to eat MBG, they informed the teacher that one of the food menus was in the form of odor noodles.

Then the teacher followed up. However, the symptoms of nausea and vomiting have been seen from one of the SDN Class 2 students. Then the school appealed to the students not to continue eating MBG.
