The 2026 Hajj Quota Is Set At 221 Thousand Congregants, Immediately Allocated To The Province

JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf (Gus Irfan) said Indonesia received a quota of 221,000 pilgrims for 2026. The quota will be distributed to 203,000 regular pilgrims and 17,000 special pilgrims.

"We get the same quota as last year, 221,000 and now we will immediately distribute it to the provinces," said Gus Irfan to reporters at the DPR/MPR complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 30.

Separately, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak emphasized that the provisions for the departure of the pilgrims did not change much except for the proposed queue to be beaten evenly to 26.4 years.

"Later, no one will queue for almost 48 years, as mentioned earlier by the minister. Everything will line up for 26 years. So that's the point," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the departure of special pilgrims, said Dahnil, they still use the same scheme, namely having to wait a maximum of 5 years.

"There is no special pilgrimage that can go directly. So a special pilgrimage must queue. The maximum is 5 years. Later the special pilgrimage will remain at 92% for regular, 8% for special," said Dahnil.
